The
9th Annual Gary Yates Memorial Golf Tournament -
Friday, September 12
The 9th Annual Gary Yates
Memorial Tournament benefits the San Mateo Police
Activities League (PAL). Players compete as part of a
four person team and may participate in either the
Scramble flight or the Best Ball Flight. Each player
receives a $50 gift certificate as a tee prize to use
for their choice of items from the Titleist
Merchandise Tent. Plus many high-end raffle prizes.
Contests include a $10,000 Hole-in-one, closest
-to-the-pin, longest drive, closest-to-the-cooler, and
a drawing to make one putt for $1,000.

ABOUT
POPLAR CREEK GOLF COURSE
The Poplar Creek Golf Course features rolling fairways
lined by nearly a thousand mature trees, four sets of tees
on each hole to fit everyone's game, large, undulating
greens that average almost 5,500 square feet, and five
rock edged lakes with two waterfalls and streams.
The new 12,000 square foot
clubhouse includes a full service Pro Shop, Dominic's
Restaurant & Bar, and banquet facilities to accommodate
events of up to 200 people. The clubhouse is designed with
an all glass facade facing the golf course to provide
dramatic views of the 18th fairway, green, lake,
waterfall, and stream.
