Poplar Creek Golf Course is hosts an annual Twilight Golf League every summer from the beginning of May to the end of June. The league features 6-player teams that play one evening a week with a shot-gun start. Teams compete in nine-hole medal play matches for the first seven weeks and a season finale tournament on the eighth week.

All six team members play each match and the four lowest total net scores are used to determine the team total for the match. A team may play a match with as few as four players (i.e. some team members on vacation), in which case all scores are counted in the team total. The team with the lowest total net score wins the match. In addition to the team competition, players also compete in an individual competition. Four of the six team members must have an NCGA or PWGA handicap.
